Train to Florence

On our way to Florence and we learned that business class is the way to go!

Milan train station

Cappuccino + croissant = happiness.

Taxi to train station

Just a quick trip, but I guess 6 hrs wasn't enough for the kids.
I asked Aiden what time it was at home given the local time with the seven hr difference. I swear it took him a full minute. So many sleep deprivation experiments, so little time.

Landed at milan

We are soooooo tired. Plane sleeping is not so very easy.
Can't wait to be completely horizontal!

Got to our seats..

Terrible pic, but the plane is massive, two isles with three sets of three seats to a row.
Plenty of overhead room and had no trouble with our bags.
We're really giddy now!

Airport

Just got dropped at the airport. The only lines we had were on the express way getting here.
The lady at check-in was very suprised with our choice of luggage and that we had nothing to check.
A little feeling of independence goes a long way.

Packed and ready for the road

After much back and forth we finally finished with just the essential clothes and entertainment items. the kids' backpacks weigh in at 13lbs each. Mine is 18 and mom's is busting the scales at 21. Elle was falling all over trying to get her bag on by herself. I guess a quarter of her weight is pushing it a bit. Maybe I'll take a bit into mine.
